Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada, an Afghan American actor in the United States has appeared in numerous television shows. She is an Afghan American actress who was born in Kabul Afghanistan. After fleeing her home country the family relocated to the US. She was granted asylum, and were allowed to remain. Ghanizada is the middle sibling of two sisters. She was raised within Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career on the television industry by appearing on several National Commercials. Ghanizada's appearance on the Laura Neri 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose as Chiara was nominated for the Best Actress award at one of the film festivals. The actress has also appeared on television shows like How I Met Your Mother and Entourage. Veronica Mars, The Wedding Bells NuMB3RS Bones Psych and Castle. Recently, she had a supporting role in the action science fiction movie Blood Shot (2009) and the independent comedies You Only Better (2009). In 2008, Ghanizada was added to the cast of the General Hospital prime-time spin-off General Hospital. Night Shift Season 2 as the Dr. Saira Batra a specialist in holistic medicine.
