Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She currently works for ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. She was hired by ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. The daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been so since her age of nine. Her ability in this area helped her to get her first job at Univision, Miami. She could work alongside national producers on shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her first job was as a reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. She moved to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for one of the Spanish channels KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. Reports on her show covered immigration issues drugs, immigration, as well as other issues on both the Texas and Mexico border. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. On a family vacation in Ohio, younger Collins took a place with her older sister. Antonietta was about to graduate from high school, but was already aware of the things she wanted to be doing. Then she was enthralled with the university. They also offered her a an academic major. After completing her studies, she was admitted to the university as a major studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station manager at WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. He inspired her to believe in herself and also his love for journalism deeply influenced her. She in turn, strived to live up to his expectations and never fail him.
